Wear on a spring date

If you’re heading out on a date this spring then you’ll want to dress to impress. Hayley Warren, fashion blogger at Strangeness and Charm shares her top tips
So, you’re going on a date with a man that you’ve met online. You want to dress to impress but it’s spring and the weather is really unpredictable. It’s likely to rain on and off, which means you’ll have to risk ruining your hair and make up unless you can find a way to keep yourself dry.

It’s also probably going to be chilly, especially in the evenings so you need to find a way of keeping warm but also still look chic so you make a good first impression. First impressions are very important so you need to make sure you pick the right outfit to make sure you look your best.

Flowers are in every spring, so you’ll be effortlessly on trend. The long sleeves mean that you can go without a cardigan and you can just wear a nice warm coat when you’re outside.

The pretty tweed coat will keep you warm and will allow you to look stylish even when you’re outside battling the elements. The colour is fantastic for spring and will go with all sorts of outfits while the weather is still so unpredictable.

This adorable black satchel is just big enough to fit in your mobile phone, purse, a packet of mints, a small hairbrush and your make-up essentials – just in case you need a quick touch up. It will look smart with both the coat and the dress depending on whether you’re inside or outside.

When it comes to shoes, the first thing you want to think about is being comfortable. You don’t want to be fussing about blisters and sore heels on your first date. These court shoes will add a bit of height (but not too much just in case your guy turns out to be short!) but will also be comfortable throughout the night, even if you’re dancing!

Finally, just in case of rain it’s a good idea to have a umbrella on hand. Nobody likes getting their hair wet!
