The most influential person in my life has been

I look for honesty above all. A good sense of humour, good appearance. Nicely spoken. She must not object to me being old!!

The first thing people notice about me

I,m told I have a nice voice, frequently interject wery quick "One liners". Sometimes out before my brain processes what I have just said!

The last book I read and enjoyed

Lucretia Borgia. I was half way through it when the series "The Borgias" started on Sky, Fascinating to see people I was reading about come to life! Just about to start "The Island" by Victoria Hislop as I visited Spingalora a couple of weeks ago. Bill cullen's book "It's a long way from penny apples" was picked up at the hotel in Crete and gives an insight int the life of impoverished Irish people but different to Angelas Ashes

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. The 50 years I had with my late wife
  2. My 3 children and 7 grandchildren
  3. The little cottage I bought in June and remodelled to my own taste

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

Sincerity. I think my quick humour sometimes masks my sincere interest in people and events.

Friends Describe me as

Funny, Generous, Intelligent, Loyal
