More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Living a good life with no regrets and hopefully a few laughs along the way. I want to learn tai chi, how to meditate and how to take a decent photograph and visit New Zealand. if I could learn how to dance that would be great but unfortunately I will never learn how to sing and would hate to inflict my voice on anyone.

I typically spend my leisure time

A morning person, a relaxed and laid back introvert, comfortable with my own space. Would definitely say I?m left of centre. Interests include reading both fiction and non fiction . Dabble in yoga, running and hiking in the country. I enjoy a good debate, but in the end prefer to agree to disagree. Love car boot sales, fashion, good wine, dining in or out.

The most influential person in my life has been

As cliched as it sounds, a good sense of humour wouldn't go amiss. I am an independent woman and most people look to me for help, but sometimes it would be good to be swept off my feet and for somebody to take care of me. But only just a little....

The first thing people notice about me

Most of my friends would say how laid back I am. However I entertain many of my work colleagues when I get overly passionate about some injustice and they have to scrape me from the ceiling. Oh and I think I have quite nice legs but that doesn't count.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Quiet by Susan Cain. It was a fascinating insight into those of us who are introvert by nature. It explains how we are hard wired from birth to be either introvert or extrovert. I also recently read White Tiger which was a wonderfully written account of poverty and corruption in India.

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. My children are healthy and making their own way in the world
  2. I have a roof over my head and food in my belly
  3. Freedom of speech

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

As a naturally reserved person, people often underestimate my passion for things I care about.

Friends Describe me as

Creative, Dependable, Loyal, Perceptive

A little more about me

I used to design and make clothes and enjoy being creative. I am on the hunt for another hobby and have been dabbling in this and that. Tried tai chi and yoga and am thinking of doing a photography course. I love my garden but have to admit it is a mess right now as I am in the middle of doing up my house.

Sports I enjoy watching

Skiing, Tennis
