More about me

The one thing I am passionate about...

Computers and technology.. I'm a bit of a gadget nut (read: nerd). So I'm always tinkering away, figuring stuff out, making new things etc. etc! Contrary to my nerd-dom though I like the outdoors a lot so I keep a good balance of days in doing computery things and days out exploring and doing other awesome things!

I typically spend my leisure time

I love to play guitar, have some beers with friends, hang out. The typical stuff I suppose! With random bouts of sky-diving, surfing, scuba-diving, and world travelling in between.

The most influential person in my life has been

I've got a go-go-gadget pace in an otherwise snaily world. So somebody who can keep up first and foremost, and second off, someone who knows when to tell me to slow down. Someone who isn't afraid to be themselves, still thinks tattoos are cool, and likes to learn new things is also a plus!

The first thing people notice about me

Oh man, I'm loud. I have a really strong voice. It gets me in trouble more often than not.

The last book I read and enjoyed

Just finished "The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time and the Texture of Reality" and am currently chewing through "The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos" both by Brian Greene and both on theoretical physics. Also, both excellent though I enjoyed "The Elegant Universe" better than Fabric of the Cosmos. Still, both are excellent reads- Dr. Greene is astutely aware that the material he's presenting can be dry to some, and writes in such a way as to present it accurately for the layman while still retaining the scientific and oddly childlike wonder that these theories can provoke. It

The three things which I am most thankful for

  1. Computers
  2. My guitar!
  3. Randomness! Gotta be crazy every now and then!

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me

I wish people would see that even though I'm sarcastic a lot of the time, I'm actually super nice. Oh and also while I love all the sciencey stuff I also enjoy art and dabble a bit. Ask me to see my gallery some time (it's online) since eHarmony hates the idea of me posting a link lol ;)
