The eHarmony process almost forced me to think through relationships logically and definitely helped to shape me into a better person to date. The process of having to think through the ten must haves and can't stands was also so empowering and Guided Communication gives you the opportunity to be wise about who you speak to. You can make a decision to keep talking to a match or close a match, without feeling guilty, by using Guided Communication because you’ve got to know a bit more about someone, without giving too much away.
However, having been on eHarmony for a while and received over 300 matches and one unsuccessful meeting with a guy I was beginning to become a bit despondent. But on the 14th May 2007 a new match appeared and I immediately knew that this one was different. Within a few days we were regularly emailing back and forth. I learnt that he was working in Bermuda, due to come back to the England for a year and would be living within an hour of where I was. We took our time in getting to understand more about each other via email. We were able to meet towards the end of September that same year. From that point we never looked back. The compatibility between us is something else and we both get so much joy from being together. What a great way to be certain that this person is what you need and that you are what they need! During July 2008 Andrew took me to Beaulieu House, the place where we first met, and as we were walking in the rose garden he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It didn't take me long to say yes!
Having been married for six months now we are really seeing the fruit of the eHarmony system in our lives. The compatibility has bought us both so much strength and our friendship is just unshakeable - such an important foundation to have. I remember on our wedding day, in the morning as I was getting ready one of my brothers saying to me, 'You couldn't ask for two more well suited and compatible people to be getting married.' I must admit I sniggered to myself and thought, well that's the point!
