Janelle and Matthew

We emailed each other for a few months, and really felt the connection, so we decided to start talking on the phone. But he lived in Oxford, England and I lived in Reno, Nevada so I think we were both a little hesitant at first. Matthew is an archaeologist and asked me, semi-sarcastically, if I wanted to spend Christmas with him in North Africa! That was our first conversation on the phone. I said “sure” as I'm a world traveler and have always wanted to go there. I bought my ticket the next week and met him in the Cairo International airport in Egypt. It was so meant to be and I can't imagine anyone more perfect. We spent Christmas sailing the Nile down in Luxor. I also went with him to an archaeology conference in Greece, and then we went to England for the New Year.
After dinner and a show in London on New Year's Eve he dropped to one knee with fireworks in the background and asked me to marry him. I moved to Oxford and we are so excited about spending the rest of our lives together. This worked out so much better than I could have ever imagined and I am telling everyone I know to sign up!
