Donna: “If someone had told me at the beginning of 2010 that I would soon find the person I wanted to spend my life with, I genuinely wouldn't have believed them, but having seen the eHarmony adverts on TV I thought I would give it a go. I’d had a bad start to the year, with a casual relationship having gone wrong, but I felt that eHarmony asked the questions that needed to be answered so I filled out the Relationship Questionnaire.     

During the first couple of weeks I began the initial stages of contact with several potential suitors and Chris was one of them. Both of us had only been members for a few weeks before we were matched. After we finished Guided Communication we were let loose on eHarmony Mail and went on to find out more about each other. After a few weeks I suggested meeting up and Chris agreed. Our first date was on Bournemouth beach and we ended up walking for six miles. When we returned to the car park my car tyre had gone down so we went off to a garage to inflate it again. Chris was so impressed with my car knowledge that he asked to see me again the next day and the one after that, which was a great start. Messages and phone calls were swapped over the next week and we found out how much we connected on a deeper level, not just physical attraction. We both met each other’s parents within a couple of weeks, so our relationship was strong right from the offset. 

Two years on from meeting our relationship has grown from strength to strength. We’ve gone through good and bad times together, bought a house and I also started a new job when I relocated. Chris proposed to me on my birthday this year. We feel every day that we were meant to find each other and we are constantly looking forward to our future together.”
