Media Planning Lead, UK and AU (12 to 18 month Maternity Cover)

THE ROLE

eHarmony are now seeking an experienced TV and media planner to manage all aspects of offline media buying and planning, financial forecasting & media execution of TV, OOH, radio and VOD campaigns, in the UK and Australian markets.

This exciting role reports into our VP Marketing, International, however you will work closely with our Digital Acquisition and Media teams in other international eharmony & ParshipMeet Group offices, as well as our media buying agencies in London and Sydney.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for the entire media planning process, setting the media strategy, and preparing tactical plans and media briefs
  • Manage the efficiency of the media buy for all offline channels, for both markets
  • Partner with internal and external analytics teams to interpret performance data and apply to TV strategies, channel performance and regularly optimize media buys
  • Develop, maintain and evolve weekly/monthly TV performance reporting and provide insightful commentary
  • Independently build and manage relationships with media agencies and media owners, negotiate contracts and media deals, scrutinize media schedules and reports
  • Support the development of in-house TV buying expertise and tools
  • Be responsible for end to end offline media budget management and forecasting
  • Drive innovation in TV measurement
  • Discover new opportunities within the VOD sector, as well as other potential media opportunities
  • Work closely with the creative department and agencies to build and/or localize the best creatives and achieve our media performance goals

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a media agency or ecommerce brand that buys media effectively and on a large scale
  • Specifically proven previous experience in offline media buying, in particular TV. OOH/Radio/VOD expertise desirable
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating deals in this space
  • Granular knowledge of the local offline media landscapes
  • Strong analytical skills & mindset working with all aspects of brand/performance media metrics, and driven by results
  • The ability to interpret internal and external performance data in a return on investment driven marketing team
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in a multinational, dynamic environment
  • A self-motivated, high-energy approach to influence effectively and execute on new ideas, from start to finish
