The Live and Let Live, Bringsty

The Live and Let Live
If you’re after a date complete with countryside comforts, then you might want to listen to eHarmony couple Dave and Judi’s advice and give The Live and Let Live a go.

It’s testament to the beautiful setting and rich history of the pub that even though it had stood empty for 11 years, someone believed in it enough to perform a miracle resurrection. The new owner, Sue Dovey, took The Live from a run-down building to a warm, cosy pub that’s fast become a local favourite, just like it was back in the 16th century. From the thatched roof to the wooden beams, it does feel a little like you’ve stepped back in time.

If you’re looking for a taste of traditional British hospitality, it’s probably up your street too. “For us, the perfect location is an isolated country pub with a roaring open fire where we can sit around, relax and chat for ages without all the interruptions we normally get in our daily lives,” say Dave and Judi. “There are lots of little nooks and crannies where you can hide away and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet at the Live and Let Live. And even better, it’s set right in the middle of several acres of wild gorse common with outstanding views over towards the Malvern Hills and the Black Mountains in Wales.”

You can work up an appetite before you eat, by trying one of the pub’s trails – from a 30 minute ‘leg stretcher’ to a 90 minute walk. And if you bring along your dogs, the bar serves treats for them too.
