London’s Best Firework Displays
Attending one of the capital’s organised displays makes a great date – after all, it isn’t every day you get to see London’s skyline illuminated by fireworks. There’s also something pleasingly romantic about wrapping up warm and heading out when everyone else is heading in.
Regardless of whether you like your displays big and brash, or small and perfectly formed, London has something to suit. Here are out top picks of the best events on and around November 5th.
Harrow goes Disney
For the romantic (or the child within you) try West London’s Disney themed fireworks on offer at Harrow’s Byron Park this year. The first, at 6.30pm, is quieter and better-suited to children (or those with a restaurant booking). The main event promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Fireworks fit for the Queen at Battersea Park
The 200-acre Battersea Park plays host to a ticketed display organised by Wandsworth Council. And this year they are celebrating our longest reigning monarch with the theme “A Royal Night Out. The usual food stalls and entertainment will be present, but romantic couples might prefer to wander the park proper once the fireworks have finished.
When: SaturdayNovember 7th, 8pm
Circus performers, a funfair, music and an array of stalls accompany this free display organised by Southwark Council. It’s best to arrive early as there tend to be queues the closer it gets to firework time. Plus it’s one of the only of London’s fireworks displays to take place on Guy Fawkes Night.

Hackney Firework Pyromusical
With a superheroes theme designed to “light up the dark night” the Hackney Firework Pyromusical is back for another year in Stoke Newington’s Clissold Park. Family-friendly fireworks will be choreographed to music designed specially to not upset the park’s animal residents. Awww…

Crystal Palace Park Fireworks turn 150
The 200-acre Palace Park has been the site of an annual fireworks display since 1865 – and this year is their 150th birthday so expect even more bang for your buck! The tradition continues today with a dual display – the earlier (and quieter) one starts at 7pm, with the full spectacle beginning at 8.30pm.
