The Love Sundays Weekly Roundup 07/12/14

Love Sunday

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of no alarm clocks ringing. No automatic rail announcers apologising for the late running of your train to work. It’s the sound of Sunday, and we love it!

And what makes this Sunday all the more special? It’s the second Sunday of Advent, time to start looking forward to Christmas and lighting the second candle in your Blue Peter Advent Crown.

Every week we’re bringing you inspiration for the best ways to make the most of your Me Time, and this week we have a cracking bunch of challenges to help you rejuvenate heart, body, mind and soul , including contributions from two of our favourite bloggers Charlotte Lucy and Dani Johanna.

The challenge: Tell your matches a little more about yourself.

Why: The more you say in your eHarmony profile the more your matches can learn about you. This doesn’t just need to be for the benefit of others though – we can often feel too shy to talk about the things that matter to us and what makes us special as an individual. By filling out your profile you can rediscover some of the things you love about yourself.

Tip: No need for lengthy essays – simply answer the easy questions which eHarmony provides for your inspiration.

The Challenge: Discover and try out a new baking or cooking recipe.

Why: Charlotte Lucy says: “A chore to many, but spending time and effort into either cooking a meal or baking something delicious is what I love doing. Food brings people together – especially if you’re baking chocolate brownies! Even if you just bake cute, little fairy cakes – nothing can ever beat home baking!”

Tip: If this is your first time trying out a new recipe allow double the time quoted for making it, then you won’t feel panicked in the kitchen.

The Challenge:  Try reading something out of the ordinary.

Why: Always avoid a certain genre? Keep getting recommended a book but have never got round to reading it? Try something different this Sunday and you may even discover a new literary love.

Tip: If you’re going to try a new genre of book do a quick online search for recommendations – often the most popular books in a genre are those which also transcend it.

The Challenge: Pamper yourself with a morning relaxing and trying out some new beauty products.

Why: Not only will this release the stresses of the week before, but as Dani Johanna says: “A lovely pampering session gets you ready for the week ahead.”

Tip: Male or female, a soak in a nice hot bath can do wonders to revitalise the soul.
