profile feedback

People always ask us for feedback on their profiles, so every month we post an eHarmony user’s profile to ask what you think! In our eighteenth edition we’re showcasing one female user’s profile.

Whether you’re a current user, have tried online dating before or not, or just love to give advice, we’d love your comments. What do you think of the profile as a whole? Does something in particular really stand out to you? What would you include, change or omit? We appreciate all of your comments, but remember not to be too personal or in any way offensive. She’s looking for useful pointers, not harsh critique!

In my own words

The one thing I am most passionate about:

My goal is to achieve success in all areas of my life. This in itself is a life long progression, from working in my chosen field as well as developing new skills and expanding into challenging areas. What I value most is trust, honesty and loyalty. I feel these qualities go hand-in-hand and are fundamental basics within any relationship, being family, friend or romantic. You can’t fully posses one without the other. By that, I mean without honesty you have no trust. Without trust, you have no loyalty… If you can possess these qualities and try to live your life by them, I believe you will have a happy life.

The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:

Respect. I want to be with someone that treats others with respect whether they are talking to someone or about them. It’s important to be a genuinely respectful person, to maintain healthy relationships in all aspects of your life.

The most influential person in my life has been:

I thought for quite a while on this one, but I don’t have one set person. My influences have come mostly from my friends and family. The experiences, attitudes and beliefs they hold, give me different perspectives and they influence my life.

The three things which I am most thankful for:

– Having family and friends who are always supportive and there for me.

– My precious dog, for love, cuddles and playfulness.

– To live in a place where I have the opportunity to explore and follow my desires.

Three of my best life-skills are:

– Maintaining an organised life

– Making art and culture an ongoing part of my life

– Managing my finances

The one thing I wish MORE people would notice about me:

I have a fun and cheeky outgoing side. It can take a while to warm up to some people and because of this, they assume I’m a quiet, boring person who doesn’t have fun. If you take the time or I feel comfortable with you, you’ll see how outgoing I become.

The things I can’t live without are:

– My dog

– My friends & family

– Art, music & culture

– Beautiful food & drinks

– Nature

The first thing people notice about me:

My soft nature, I can be a quiet person and that tends to stick out straight away! Once I get to know you though, I do come out of my shell and become quite chatting and outgoing.

A little more about me:

I’m not on here to just ‘hook up’, I want to meet new people and get to know someone who is genuinely interested in the future. I’m looking for like minded people with goals and ambitions in life but can still take the time to have fun and relax.

My interests

I typically spend my leisure time:

Catching up with friends, relaxing at home or going on a drive to places I haven’t been to for a while.

The last book I read and enjoyed:

The last book I read was a photo-book by Theron Humphrey called Maddie on Things. It’s basically a book of pictures of this guys dog on objects and in funny places. The dog was rescued from the pound and the money raised from the book goes into saving other animals and finding them homes. The last novel is called The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. It’s an incredible, emotional look at the lives a troubled teen, the friends he makes and the delicate but deeply twisted and complicated journey they embark on through the end of high school. It’s not as lame as you may think! they made it into a good movie, it’s worth a look.

My friends describe me as:

– Creative

– Genuine

– Good Listener

– Loyal
