Darren and Louise
Darren: “Louise first contacted me in August last year and when I looked at her profile I instantly liked her cheeky smile and seemingly outgoing personality. We didn’t send too many messages over the website before we exchanged mobile numbers and started to text like crazy! We were soon at ease with each other and it all seemed very natural pretty much from the start.
We met for the first time very soon after. We both liked the fact that we seemed to match each other on so many levels, it was scary! This meant that things swiftly started to move into relationship territory and although we both wanted to keep our heads and not rush things, we both agreed that we would just allow things to develop naturally to see where it went.
By Christmas last year we had plans to split the time between our families and we shared our first New Year together at a romantic feast at Warwick Castle. Although I had already been introduced to Louise’s family, Christmas was ‘the big one’ and I spent lots of time with Louise’s extended family and met everybody.
It was my birthday in January and we spent it in London, shopping and eating! In April this year, Louise hit an important milestone, turning 40! She looks so amazing and we went away for a spa weekend and a special meal. Then in June we went on our first holiday together to Thailand where I was able to introduce Louise to my main hobby, scuba diving, which she loved. We really have been busy and we love spending so much time together!
We recently decided that we want to move things on in our relationship so we’re hoping that Louise will be able to move in with me before the end of the year. With our relationship continuing to progress naturally with little effort, it’s no surprise that we’re really happy with each other and are excited about the adventure we’ve embarked on. Engagement and marriage are definitely on the cards for us and although we have no formal plans just yet, we continue to enjoy each other’s company always.
I think it’s fair to say that we were both skeptical of finding real love via a website, especially given the inevitable past relationships that we’ve had, which reside in most people’s lives when you get to your 40s. Even so, Louise and I are genuinely in love and very happy with each other which is predominantly down to the sheer number of levels we match on. eHarmony was extremely refreshing and took the full range of human values and emotions very seriously.”
