Sarah and Ryan
Ryan: "I turned on "other countries" and we were matched within the day. We both were a bit wary at first, but we went through the guided communication blazingly fast and found kindred hearts in each other's words. (And it didn't help that we found each other sexy!) Then came the fun part trying to figure out how to talk with each other - Skype became our new best friend. I got to stay up late; she got to get up early. Both of us were happy... we had *hours* fly by. It was so easy. Quite unlike anything we've had before.
Before I knew it (within the month), I was on my way on a whirlwind weekend trip to the UK, and with airlines being as they are, I ended up diverted, cranky, and covered in brownie. She had to trek from Sheffield to London for us to meet. Couldn't have been better -ended up with a lovely motorway meal, an embarrassing discovery of half-eaten brownie, and a wonderful walk through Stratford. Arrived at my hotel to find they upgraded me to a suite- complete with sauna! But the best part was, from the first time we saw each other (me: "she's small", her: "he's big") it really was like we were meant to be with each other. We shared a first kiss at another stop along the motorway (aren't we romantic!?).
The weekend was too quick. So she decided to surprise me two weeks later to join me on a three week vacation (already planned) to New Zealand. Perhaps a three week 24/7 trip is not recommended for a second date, but those three wonderful weeks (followed by three more back in the States) cemented what we already knew - we were made for each other. And so, almost one year to the date from we were introduced by Dr. Neil Clark Warren we find ourselves again back in Stratford, engaged.
Three months later, on New Year's Eve, we married in San Francisco and had at truly amazing and fun wedding weekend with memories and a wedding album completely different from any other wedding we've ever been to!
