Lisa and Jason
Lisa: "I remember when I used to read the success stories on eHarmony, telling myself that one day I would have my story there too. I had tried other sites before joining this one, but I didn't have much success in meeting the right man for me. I came across eHarmony on the internet and after purchasing and reading Dr Warren's book, I was sure that this site was what I needed. I was still a bit skeptical so signed up for a year; I wasn’t sure how long it would take! I talked to a few very nice men and went on a few dates, but I was very cautious as I knew exactly what kind of man I was looking for and didn't want to settle for anyone else.
I was close to 11 months into my membership when I received Jason from Warrington as a match. He initiated the communication straight away. It was his first day on eHarmony and I was his second match! He stood out from the first answers that he sent me and in the next month we sent each other over 100 emails. We always had things to talk about and I couldn't wait for his next email.
We met a couple of months later for the first time, and I prepared a chain of puzzles which Jason had to solve in order to find out where I was and where our date would take place. It was a really fun date! We dated for a year before introducing our kidsto each other, back then his sons were 16 and 13 and my son was six. In a few months we decided to try and live together to see how things went. My son and I had to travel two and a half hours on a train each way every day, but it was all worth it. After three months I handed in my notice at work and we permanently moved from Sheffield to Warrington.
The following February, Jason asked me to marry him. He left the house and there was a video tape left for me to play which gave me a number of clues to find where he was. He put so much effort into this, involving our friends and family in the hunt, it was amazing! The actual proposal was quite funny as we went on the Manchester wheel and Jason is very scared of heights. He got down on his knee and got the ring out, but he had to keep his eyes shut. I said yes and put the ring on my finger, when we got back to the ground, Jason asked me what my answer was!
We got married in Hawaii, just the two of us and had a wonderful wedding. We have so much in common and love each other dearly. We share the same values, interests, morals and have created new common goals. I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with this amazing man and I am so grateful to your site for introducing us to each other.”
