Ben and Joanne
Ben: “I wasn’t interested in meeting ladies in bars and online dating seemed like a modern way to meet someone. I think the stigma has basically gone now. So, on a whim I signed up to see what might happen, not expecting much other than to chat to a few girls and hopefully go on a couple of dates.
I saw Joanne’s profile, we had similar interests and she looked nice in her photos from what I could see. One of her photos was quite blurry and in the other her face was covered, so I was intrigued to meet her.
After emailing Joanne for a few weeks we decided to meet up for some drinks. Things were going so well that we didn’t want the date to end so we went to get some dinner. We still couldn’t stop talking so then we went for a coffee and talked for hours, clearly neither of us wanting the evening to end.
Now nine months down the line I couldn't be happier, I thought I knew what love was but this girl has completely rocked my world, she makes everyday worth living! I’ve never met anyone quite like her; she makes me laugh literally all the time. I don’t stop thinking about her and I know she feels the same. My friends keep saying how happy I always am.
I haven't been that interested in marriage until Joanne came along. I took her to Hever castle as we had been there before when we first met and that was the first place we held hands. So i thought it would be nice to go back there. I sat her down and asked her to marry me and presented her with an engagement ring, she said yes and loved the ring! What's really cool is that the ring form 1930, very pretty and i had no idea on the size, its a perfect fit, how lucky is that.
We didn't see the point in waiting so we are getting married in a couple of weeks, can't wait!!"
